📍📍PERSONALITY PROFILE📍📍 Joyce Adeline Bamford-Addo, JSC, CV (born 26 March 1937) is a Ghanaian barrister and judge who served as the first female Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana from 2009 to 2013. She attended Holy Child School, in Cape Coast, for her secondary education. She then proceeded to the United Kingdom for legal training. She was the first woman to be elected to that position in the West African sub-region. Bamford-Addo also was the first female Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana. She served in that role from 1991 until 2004, when she retired Before her political role, she was a distinguished barrister and served as a Supreme Court Justice from 1991 to 2004, making her one of the first women in that role as well. A retired Supreme Court judge, she was elected as the Speaker of the Fifth Parliament of the Fourth Republic, becoming the first woman to hold this position in the West African sub-region. Joyce Adeline Bamford-Addo is alive at age, 89 today 🇬🇭🎉🎉

Let it be known ,the KNUST SRC displayed appointees who did not appear before the Vetting Committee and also assigned more than two deputies to some portfolios, which goes against Chapter 6, Article 43(a)and Article 24(11a) of the SRC Constitution and went ahead to swear them in.

Oh 😂 As Majority Whip, I believe the focus should be on addressing or reforming party structures that limit women’s participation in politics. Naming and shaming may not be the most effective approach unless, of course, the individual is contesting a seat reserved for women.
