@Keir_Starmer The most useful thing you can do for the NHS and our country is to fit HEPA grade filters in our hospital buildings and GP surgeries. Reduce the spread of Covid, reduce sickness and staff shortage in the workplace. Reduce the numbers claiming benefits due to Long Covid. Please.

@WorcsAcuteNHS It’s about time more NHS trusts asked, kindly, that we protect our family, our friends and the NHS staff who care for us by wearing facemasks in healthcare settings. It’s not about a law or rules or our rights….its just like wearing a plaster on a cut finger. #nopansjustmasks

From today, patients and visitors at the Alexandra, Kidderminster, and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals are being asked to wear facemasks in all clinical areas to protect themselves, their loved ones, and hospital staff against the risk of Covid infection. With the number of Covid-positive patients in our hospitals increasing and with Covid-related staff sickness also on the rise, we want to do everything we can to protect the people we care for from the risk of infection, and we are grateful for the support and understanding of our patients and visitors. Masks are required in all inpatient and outpatient areas and will be made available to all patients and visitors on arrival.

@AnthonyIsaacs Today, nailed 5.25 miles…..my first of that distance in a year. Back problems have really crippled me for the last year but finally running well. You can’t be far off your first 5k….it’s a real milestone when you hit that!

@ozclarke Old chum….Hofmiester Low Alcohol? Is it any good? The Small Beer i’m going to search out. But my dry Jan was simply Bottlegreen Elderflower Cordial and Cold Sparkling water. I honestly believe that a space is there in the market for a hop cordial, perhaps different varieties.

I certainly didn’t do a dry January- maybe I just pined for an unthirsty Thursday. So I had a go at a couple of no-lo wines; didn’t finish the glass; tried some zero alcohol gins and thought— WHY?? Then tried these no-lo beers - they were absolute crackers. No-lo? Stick to beer
