As an Arsenal fan, I can't lie, we've been grappling and wrestling goalkeepers all season.
I can understand why West Ham and football fans in general are angry.
Plus all the other fouls in that incident.. hope we still win the league but the anger is fully justified

They all agreed it's the correct decision. Yet, they try to bring a "but" into it. Unfortunately, the referee was there to decide the moment, not events that occurred previously in the season. This incident has indeed confirmed the hypocrisy of several individuals in football.

When Arsenal smashed Spurs 4-1 in February Peter Schmeichel was sat just at the front of the press box.
When Gyokeres scored the fourth goal Schmeichel stormed out of his seat to head down to get ready for his post match interview with steam coming out of his ears. He was fuming and clearly so, so gutted at seeing Arsenal win so well.
Any other team today, he 100% says that's clear foul and backs the keeper. Seeing him like this just makes that win feel even sweeter.

That West Ham goal is an obvious foul on Raya. Very clear foul but the reason everyone is furious is because that was exactly what Arsenal have been doing since the season started! And it was never cancelled.
If it’s a foul now then it should’ve been a foul all along.
People just want consistency!!!
It’s obvious the FA wants Arsenal to win the league now, it’s the story that sells more. “After 20+ years they won the league bla bla bla…”

First day of the season, Timber DELIBERATELY stopped Bayindir in that United game. The entire league gaslit everyone with the analysis focusing on the fact that Bayindir "wasn't strong enough"
