Shift your mindset as a video editor: Don't ask people if they need an editor, find people who actually need one You don't ask a bunch of guys to buy your makeup product You ask women So find people who need a video editor

I don't have the best video editing skills But my clients pay me more than most editors make Why? One skill is not enough You need to deliver fast, be nice to work with, be proactive, market yourself provide value upfront

Beginner editors don't understand this It's just simple human behaviour When you're reaching out in any type of way Imagine how you yourself would respond to your outreach You don't really understand that there is a regular human being on the other end of the line Understand the needs of this person and supply it When you keep begging for a job and showing irrelevant proof of work, your lead will automatically be uninterested You just have to understand simple human behaviour

Try to be diffirent! Create your own video editing style/styles Sure it takes time but its waay more valuable than your average "Iman Ghadzi style" Create and get paid.

The fastest route to 2K per month as a video editor Learn how to sell the solution to the leads problem Don't just "provide value" Because this "value" might not be valuable to your lead Learn how to sell the solution

I believe skill stacking is the best thing you can possibly do nowadays. I'll take every little thing that I can learn, even when it has nothing to do with video-editing. It makes me more flexible in life. Flexibility is the new stability.

Most editors stick to purely video editing Sure it makes money and is quite fun But if you combine other skills on top of your video editing business You will make so much more money More skills = more money

@rublychan I used to do the zooms for no reason at the start like crazy lmao It just felt like I was doing productive things haha

Big NO NO in video editors • Jumping eyeline • Ugly composition • Loud SFX & music • Zooms for no reason • Overuse of whooshes Please never ever make those mistakes
