I literally say all the time, just write write write write. my shit was so bad 4-5 years ago but it literally takes just writing all the time, whether u feel like it or not, no matter how much or little. it’s a learned skill u have to practice to get better at. I have hundreds of docs that will never be finished or see light of day, but for every bad chapter, paragraph, sentence I write, it helps me become better today.

just like reading, writing is a learned skill. “i have so many fic ideas but im a bad writer!” - write them anyway!! ideas are the start of it and you absolutely can develop your writing skills but you have to practice. this shit doesn’t just happen.
