@LauraKeeney01 We have been wondering if we could produce info sheets for teachers to help raise wider awareness of cyber security roles and topics. We're both cyber security professionals (I'm an 'ethical hacker', hem, hem) and we'd love to help give you more insight. #caschat

A5 In summary... No! I think in primary we are just starting to highlight careers in technology and STEM nevermind the more niche pathway of cyber security. I think it's a fascinating career path that should be highlighted more #caschat

@edmoxon55 @caschat_uk @Francis_Esq Not saying they are the same thing by any means, but understanding that there are cross overs & similarities between the 2 areas. Yes, there are unique aspects, but password security has historically been taught in #OnlineSafety lessons & is integral to #CyberSecurity #caschat

@abid_patel @caschat_uk @Francis_Esq We don't consider e-safety and cyber security to be quite the same thing. Where e-safety is taught (PSHE, computer science, assemblies) varies from school to school. So a question folks - would you value a precis of the landscape of cyber security? #caschat

@caschat_uk @edmoxon55 @Francis_Esq A4. I feel that #CyberSecurity & #OnlineSafety should be taught as a joint package now. There's a lot of crossover between the 2 & both areas compliment each other in their importance on staying safe both pastorally & also from a technical perspective #caschat

A4 I think things like how to post a sensible video online is necessary. Pupils are doing it anyway so better to show them how to do it safely just as we would for other potentially dangerous behaviours #caschat

@MrsS_Year6 @caschat_uk @Francis_Esq Got it. We have created a mythical place called Cyber City as part of #cyberexplorers with attacks taking place against the characters. We've not covered coding per se but we could #caschat

@caschat_uk @edmoxon55 @Francis_Esq A3 my ks3 classes liked the “Hack the password” Python code in the NCCE resources. They also found the cyber map fascinating and hypothesising why attacks where centred around particular locations #caschat

@missedabracket Excellent Phil. Totally agree. We're part of the authoring/delivery team for Cyber First and we really want to develop some inter-school CTF competition. Our latest project #cyberexplorers includes some CTF activities. #caschat

A2. In terms of resources, cross-curricular resources would be good. I think school events such as inter-school #CTF 'capture the flag' events are needed...also competitions like #CyberGirlsFirst need to be higher profile. #CASChat
