This could have been avoided. Failure to insulate every home, end reliance on fossil fuels & decouple energy prices from gas left us exposed to energy shocks. Now we must act: Cap bill rises after June. End fossil fuel addiction. Lower bills, permanently.
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Energy prices will surge by £332 a year from July as the Iran war drives up the cost of oil and gas Cornwall Insight - which has a track record for accurately predicting prices - said that the energy price cap will rise from £1,641 between April and June to £1,973 from July It's up on its last prediction, when it forecast that bills would rise to £1,827. The longer the conflict goes on...

@JamesEvansMS Some joke that for the people of Wales who a)speak Welsh and (b) are worried about its decline. Why would we want your lot on charge if that’s your opinion. The no show at Caerphilly by Nigel summed you lot up for me. You don’t give a shit about Wales, never will

BBC Wales, or Plaid Cymru TV as they should really be called, has decided to publish a hit job on Nigel Farage today. Anti-Reform stories are becoming more frequent as we approach the Senedd election, while Plaid get an easy ride. Don't forget: BBC Wales Director, Rhuanedd Richards, is the former Chief Executive of Plaid Cymru. The BBC decided to publish their story about Nigel Farage's cameos, which were clearly and obviously a joke, but have refused to report on the fact that Plaid's Leader literally said “there's no such thing as illegal immigration” on a BBC programme! I was invited today to answer the BBC's questions on the Module 3 COVID report specifically - that was their request. But did they actually want to talk about future pandemic preparedness or the Welsh Government's role in what was the highest death rate in the UK? No! They wanted to talk about cameos. Nigel Farage is a staunch supporter of the Welsh language, as we all are in Reform. And in response to today's appalling Welsh NHS statistics, what did the BBC use as their headline? “Hospital waiting lists in Wales see record drop” >As diagnostic waiting list hit a two-year high. >As cancer performance worsens. >And the longest waits for treatment of 2+ years (which were virtually eliminated in England years ago) drop by a mere 0.8%. What a joke! BBC Wales has lost credibility with the Welsh public.

The “Welsh blogger” strikes again… and this time he’s not even pretending to be neutral. When you’re posting “I hate Reform and everything they stand for” TWICE you’re not reporting the news, you’re pushing an agenda which is plain to see. Journalism is meant to inform, not campaign. This isn’t reporting, it’s activism. This bloggers news letter is just a mouthpiece for Plaid Cymru, dressed up as “independent” media. Commissioned interviews, cherry-picked opinions, and the same tired anti-Reform narrative. The public can see straight through it. Wales deserves real journalism. Not this bloggers propaganda.

"I hate Reform and everything they stand for". Welsh grandmother doesn't hold back as she breaks down why she would never vote for Nigel Farage's party. You can see analysis and news from Welsh politics by signing up for my news letter (see pinned tweet). Big props to excellent @edcmpbl who I commissioned to go and carry out these interviews.

This is what Reform thinks of the Welsh language. 😠 They're not fit to be anywhere near power here in Wales. Vote Plaid Cymru on 7 May to stop Reform. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Those of you thinking of voting green or like Zack Polanski- get him to debate with an economist and you’ll be embarrassed for him. He doesn’t understand finances or the economy in the slightest - so far removed from reality. I get you may be frustrated with Labour, but we cannot afford to have the greens in government. It would be catastrophic for our economy and who would feel it the most - small business owners , middle earners. Voting for them just because of Israel Gaza is not a good enough reason IMO

Donald Trump has admitted that he bombed Iran “out of habit.” Our government has given this man permission to use our bases for an illegal, unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression. End British complicity — and stop bombing Iran.
