@oldfarmgirlkah We’ve been on a couple of Caribbean cruises. They had 2500 ish people plus staff. That’d be quite a difference.

@DeanPat57613010 @Campbellgrain Have an old 340 Yamaha enticer for the grandsons. Perfect size, runs great. Track tensioner broke on one side so had to pull out the undercarriage/suspension. Don’t want to do that job again any time soon. Tricky to get bolts lined up when going back together when doing it alone

Who has the best way to store and organize their milwaukee and dewalt tools in the shop.

@Campbellgrain @DeanPat57613010 I got this on Amazon. Was cheap I think. Top 2 shelves have room for grinders- get a 2nd one if need more space. Doesn’t work for grease gun, skil saw, etc. Was working on a snowmobile last couple of days and the rack was empty- tools everywhere. Still gotta put stuff back.

Back at it. Snow is mostly gone. Nice day at the moment (and moisture has dropped about 4 points) A bit surprising given how wet it has been

My 8 year old grandson said those wagons look like they’re filled with yellow gold- maybe a bigger Christmas present. I said the price of that gold not too good this year and not much of it and gave him the old cash crop saying. Maybe next year.

@kowalchukfarms1 @Agridome This one is a 98. I don’t do many acres but has been good for me. Biggest expense so far is new aftermarket concaves.

Why do you keep those combines around? It’s not always like this but the repair costs on both the 9790 combines this harvest was one chopper belt! Almost zero down time And it’s their 19th birthday this year…

It gets a bit boring with Brant usually the lowest yield area in SW Ont in the dry years. On a good note I ran into ⁦@MoeChauvin⁩ and ⁦@CathyChauvin⁩ at the Outdoor Farm Show. Have followed them on X for awhile. Had a nice chat- we had the same MF combine for a while

@AdamJPfeffer @Chimoguy Last couple of weeks have been below 10 deg C pretty much every night. Seems like I have read/ heard in the past that really slows heat unit accumulation @SCSAgronomy

@Chimoguy No we sure don’t. My late April planted stuff is about a third milk line, it still needs until months end to make it

It’ll be interesting to see how the next 2 weeks or more contribute to grain fill in corn. If you have enough moisture this is pretty much a picture perfect situation to pack on the kernel mass. My May 25th and June 3rd planted stuff have no signs of a milk line yet. ⁦

@SCSAgronomy I haven’t seen any heat unit totals for a while. Did the warm July and August catch us up to last year?

@islandviewag @WxOntario1 @MaizeingPete No this isn’t worst we’ve had. This year corn, beans are kind of hanging in there-light land, poorer spots aren’t good. We’ve been getting couple of tenths periodically. Seems like way worse in places down your direction
