I’m more circumspect about whether your time searching out X users because you don’t like their tweets (@NeilDotObrien this week, @OldRoberts953 last week), is a particularly good value for the £50/hr you’re currently receiving from the taxpayer.

Ironic to see such blatant misinformation from a party that banned politicians lying. Under the new proportional system Plaid supported, parties only need 12% to win seats. If progressives vote Labour or Green, they will NOT be splitting the vote.

But Nick you don’t “interview those who use the word genocide”. I’m one of the most prominent British genocide scholars and I called Israel’s genocide in October 2023. I’ve had a lot of international media attention but my BBC total in 30 months is one interview on Radio Ulster.

Simple answer Zack. Our job is to report. We interview you & those you quote who use the word genocide. We do the same for those who disagree. We also report that no international court has yet made a judgment. Nor has the UN. That’s not me or the BBC taking sides or downplaying what’s happened in Gaza. It’s doing our job.

The new BBC DG is a strapping 6ft 3in ex-Cambridge rower, married (to a woman), with kids … and also, we are told, a Dr Whovian. Anybody less like a Dr Whovian is hard to imagine. Still, his favourite story is almost definitely ‘The Power Of Kroll’ - lots of rowing - so maybe not all bad.
