@candaceforpdx @KateAronoff My mother was just telling me how she was thinking about moving back to Mexico. In the US, she struggles to just get by even with the 3 jobs she has. And she's an amazing woman that does so much! The US would be so much better with women like her still in it

@KateAronoff My immigrant family that moved here from a "third world country" for the "American Dream" is moving back to their home country. Because the quality of life is significantly better financially and emotionally back there. Very eye opening if you ask me.

@candaceforpdx I never have but I really want to! Became a citizen just a handful of years ago but some of my family that isn’t naturalized have gotten called and had to reply that they’re not eligible. I’m so curious how they pick

On this note, can I just say, I have been patiently waiting for years to get called for jury duty and it still has never happened. Is that odd? How many times have you been called for jury duty?

@KatMckelvey the Portland Metro area is going to not have water for up to a full year with our current systems, partial restoration of some highways would take 6 months to a year, we won’t have a working airport runway. But sure let’s prioritize cops :/
