Edu | Project SAFE Panoorin ang one-on-one discussion nina Undersecretary Edu Punay ng Innovations and Program Development Group (IPDG) at Kyrie Eleison Taganap tungkol sa Project SAFE, isang inisyatibo ng DSWD na naglalayong palakasin ang proteksyon ng mga bata laban sa online sexual abuse and exploitation (OSAEC), alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11930. Sa ilalim ng Project SAFE, binibigyan ng komprehensibong suporta ang mga batang nasa panganib at ang kanilang mga pamilya sa pamamagitan ng psychosocial services, referral mechanisms at capacity-building para sa mga magulang. DSWD chief kicks off Innovations Caravan in NCR Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary @rex_gatchalian kicks off the Innovations Caravan in the National Capital Region at the Aguilar Sports Complex in Las Piñas City on Thursday (January 29). The DSWD's Innovations and Program Development Group (IPDG) led by Undersecretary Edu Punay will visit 12 regions, starting in NCR, to introduce and promote the Department’s innovative programs. Secretary Gatchalian visited each program booth during the caravan, including the Walang Gutom Program (WGP), Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program (TBTP), Angel Pets, Pag-abot Program, and Apo Ko: Kwento ni Lolo't Lola, Gabay ng Kabataan. BangUn Program, Matagumpay na Isinagawa ang Endline Activity sa Laban Kontra Malnutrisyon Sinimulan na ang Endline Activity ng Bangsamoro Umpungan sa Nutrisyon (BangUn) Program sa mga lalawigan ng Basilan, Sulu, at Tawi-Tawi ngayong Enero. Ito ay bilang bahagi ng komprehensibong pagsusuri sa implementasyon ng programa at ng patuloy na pagsisikap na tuluyang matugunan ang suliranin ng malnutrisyon sa rehiyon. Kabilang sa mahahalagang gawain ang home visitation sa mga batang kabilang sa Severely Acute Malnourished (SAM) at Moderately Acute Malnourished (MAM) categories, kung saan sinusuri ng mga Angels in Red Vests ng DSWD ang kanilang kalusugan at antas ng pag-unlad matapos ang anim (6) na buwang tuluy-tuloy na feeding program para sa mga bata, buntis, at nagpapasusong ina. Nilalayon ng Endline Activity na masubaybayan ang kabuuang kalagayan ng mga batang benepisyaryo, masukat ang pagbabago sa nutrisyon at kalusugan, at matukoy ang positibong bunga ng programa. #BawatBuhayMahalagaSaDSWD ❤️

Department of Budget and Management Brings Holiday Joy to Walang Gutom Kitchen!🎄🌟 This Christmas season, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) brought warmth and joy to DSWD's Walang Gutom Kitchen in Pasay City. Through the efforts of the Budget Union and Employees' Credit Cooperative, hot meals and support reached families in need, turning the season into one giving of hope. Yesterday the President also officially opened our Pagabot Processing Center in Pasay (a former POGO Hub). This center serves as a interim shelter for our families and individuals in street situations. When our social workers conduct street reach out operations, the families that come with us will be housed here temporarily while we process their trips back to their provinces (with livelihood grants). This center has play rooms, wellness rooms, medical check rooms.

Maraming Salamat sa Inyong Patuloy na Pagtitiwala 🫶 Good news! Pito sa Sampung Pilipino (7.1 out of 10 Pinoys) ang nagpahayag ng pagtitiwala sa DSWD bilang maaasahan at epektibong Kagawaran na maayos na naisasagawa ang mga tungkulin at mandato nito. Batay ito sa resulta ng Ulat ng Bayan survey na isinagawa ng Pulse Asia Research Inc. noong Setyembre 27–30, 2025. Sa likod ng mga datos na ito ay ang araw-araw na pagsusumikap ng ating mga ‘Angels in Red Vests’ sa buong bansa—mga lingkod-bayan na walang kapaguran, tapat na kumikilos at buong pusong naglilingkod para sa kapakanan ng bawat Pilipino. Hands-on ang DSWD sa Rehabilitasyon ng Aurora! Nasa ilalim na ng State of Calamity ang lalawigan ng Aurora matapos itong hagupitin ng Super Typhoon #UwanPH noong Nobyembre 9 na nagdulot ng malawakang pinsala sa mga tahanan at pamumuhay ng mga residente. Tumungo si DSWD Secretary @rex_gatchalian sa lalawigan ng Aurora ngayong Miyerkules (Nobyembre 12) para alamin ang kalagayan ng mga apektadong pamilya at tiyakin na naipapaabot sa mabilis na paraan ang mga kinakailangang tulong mula sa Kagawaran. Sa isang coordination meeting, pinangunahan ni Secretary Gatchalian ang talakayan sa mga Local Chief Executives (LCEs) hinggil sa mga hakbang para sa mabilis na rehabilitasyon ng Aurora, kabilang na dito ang distribusyon ng food at non-food items (NFIs) at pagtukoy ng pangmatagalang solusyon para sa mga pamilyang nawalan ng tirahan. Kasama sa pagpupulong sina Aurora Governor Isidro “Sid” Galban, Congressman Rommel Angara, Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe at Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao ng Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) ng DSWD, Asst. UPDATE ON DSWD RESPONSE TO TYPHOON TINO (As of 6 a.m., Nov. 5, 2025) The DSWD has monitored so far 1,643,573 individuals or 459,091 families affected by Typhoon #TinoPH. Of which, 436,501 individuals or 128,937 families are currently in 4,921 evacuation centers. Our DSWD field offices have also started distributing food and non-food relief items. We have over 1 million family food packs prepositioned in these regions and ready to be distributed. Upon directive by President Bongbong Marcos and leadership of Secretary @rex_gatchalian, we have already started our relief operations and distributed about 123,000 family food packs across affected provinces so far, even while search and rescue operations are still ongoing in some areas. #BawatBuhayMahalagaSaDSWD #BagongPilipinas

Of which, 374,747 individuals or 109,024 families are currently in 4,175 evacuation centers. Our DSWD field offices have also started distributing food and non-food relief items. We have over 1 million family food packs prepositioned in these regions and ready to be distributed. UPDATE ON DSWD RESPONSE TO TYPHOON TINO (As of 6 a.m., Nov. 4, 2025) So far, we have monitored about 340,000 individuals affected by the typhoon in Regions Mimaropa, 5, 6, 7, 8 and NIR. Of which, more than 175,000 are currently in over 2,000 evacuation centers. Our DSWD field offices have also started distributing food and non-food relief items. We have over 1 million family food packs prepositioned in these regions and ready to be distributed. The DSWD has activated its disaster response mechanisms in preparation for the possible impact of Severe Tropical Storm (STS) #TinoPH. Undersecretary for Innovations and the Program Development Group Eduardo Punay presided over a preparedness meeting on behalf of Secretary Rex Gatchalian to ensure that all resources and personnel are ready for immediate deployment. Key officials from the Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG)—Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe, Assistant Secretary Leo Quintilla, and Director Ma. Isabel Lanada, PhD—also participated to align operational strategies and resource mobilization efforts. Regional Directors and DROMIC Focals from areas along the storm’s projected path joined the meeting via Google Meet to discuss localized response measures. Maagang Monitoring at Profiling ng DSWD FO-6 sa mga Evacuees sa Panitan Sa pagtutulungan ng DSWD Field Office (FO) 6 - Western Visayas at ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Panitan sa Capiz, sinimulan agad ang identification sa mga internally displaced persons (IDPs) ngayong Lunes (November 3) sa gitna ng banta ng Bagyong #TinoPH. Ang hakbang na ito ay bahagi ng direktiba ni Kalihim Rex Gatchalian na bilisan ang pagmonitor sa mga IDPs para maibigay kaagad ang kanilanh kinakailangang tulong.
