Year 3 loved their local walk this morning! 🚶‍♀️🌳🏘️

Year One went back in time in their Jurassic Hunter Inspiration Day. They went on a fossil hunt, learnt a tongue twisters, made their own fossil, excavated dinosaurs and even tried to rescue dinosaurs trapped in ice. They then measured the length of the Ichthyosaurus - 5.2m long!

Year 3 and 4 had another fantastic Wild Tribes session today! They explored which sticks make the best fire‑starters, how to build a safe border, and practised constructing their setups. They also got hands‑on with flint and a striker, creating real sparks🔥

Year 5 have loved celebrating #WorldBookDay2026! Incredible costumes and even more incredible imaginations in their story shoebox creations 📚✨

Reception have had THE best World Book Day! We were blown away by their costumes and their amazing shoeboxes. They were all able to talk about their character and had fun playing a 'name the story quiz' as well as finding as many helpful words in a reading for pleasure book!

Year 4 had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day! We shared our favourite books with year 2, celebrated the amazing shoe box creations and designed a new front cover for our favourite books! If you're into it... read into it 📚

Year 3 have had a fantastic World Book Day! Starting off the day in fantastic costumes, we created adverts to persuade people to buy our books, explored non-fiction books, swapped stories with Year 5 and completed some challenges! 📚🤩

Year One have had a Booktastic time celebrating World Book Day. Thank you for all the wonderful costumes and book inspired shoe boxes they have been amazing. We especially loved sharing our favourite books with our Year 6 friends. 📚

Year 2 have had an amazing World Book Day. Lots of fantastic costumes and fun activities. We created cryptic ciphers, completed a book swap with year 4 and went on a book scavenger hunt along with many more things. A great day!

What an incredible effort the children put in with creating their shoebox scene! Year 6 LOVED looking at each other’s and the children’s from other classes. We also enjoyed a lovely book swap, reading with our friends in Year 1🥰

What a fantastic day Year 6 have had celebrating #WorldBookDay2026 The children really embraced the theme - If you’re into it, read into it - and this was so clear in their chosen outfits! They looked absolutely wonderful!

Year 6 loved yesterday’s assembly with Rock Steady! What a fantastic way to start the morning! We definitely have some music artists in the making 🎶🎤🎸🥁

Year 3 and Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon completing their first Wild Tribes session! Year 3 planted bulbs and explored the circuit around the woodland, while Year 4 focused on teamwork — moving tyres and collecting sticks that could be used for a fire
