Today, we proudly conducted a tree-planting campaign with the students of JSS Wurno, Jigawa State. This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to climate change mitigation, ecosystem restoration, and youth empowerment.

As Wurno town undergoes important developmental projects such as township roads, often resulting in the loss of countless trees, Eyes on the Environment Initiative is stepping forward to champion nature-based solutions that restore balance between progress and sustainability.

Plastic pollution adversely affects not only the environment but also public health and exacerbates the climate crisis. Approximately 50% of all plastic waste is disposed of in landfills.

On this World Environmenta Day, Eyes on the Environment Initiative, urge you to adopt a more conscientious approach to plastic consumption. Reduce reliance on single-use plastics, advocate for sustainable alternatives, and support improved waste management systems.

This initiative aims to inspire them to become advocates for positive change in their communities.

In our mission to combat climate change and empower youths with knowledge and opportunities for advocacy. Today we visited Bayero University Kano where we engaged the newly admitted level 100 students of the Faculty of Agriculture.

We encouraged them to become advocates for positive change. We also plant trees with these students and urge them to care for the trees throughout their five-year academic journey, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
