@Mike_Andreuzza I mean, if you give free housing/food without obligations, there is no incentive to integrate, if you don't send bad actors back, there is no incentive to behave.

@eelcodotdev No, sorry i won't give them free housing. In fact, I would make them pay more taxes. They do not integrate, as you can see, only 2% of all coming in does actually do something to integrate, the rest...don't

@Mike_Andreuzza Actually one more rule. In return of getting free housing community service is mandatory for everyone > 18 years old until they find a job, as a means for integration.

The actual salary companies pay is about 30% to 40% higher, which is never mentioned. This includes social security and pension fees. The difference with US isn’t that much if you take everything into account. Raises in SMB usually depend on how well you perform and your negotiation skills.

This is so European coded. 1. Raises should be commensurate to impact. Not based on seniority. 2. A 10% raise on a salary that’s 50% lower than it should be is still insulting. Just pay US wages if you really care about your employees.
Anton Osika@antonosika

We just introduced a program at Lovable that gives each person in the team a 10% raise on their 1st anniversary. Because people get more valuable the longer they stay, and they shouldn't have to worry about getting a raise or not.

@d4m1n Ai is too expensive for all those people, plus digging in for when the bubble pops.

Cloudflare fired roughly 20% of their employees. I don't get it AI is a multiplier for human employees. - if you're powering AI infra - you want hypergrowth but you decide this is *too much* growth and decide to fire people?

Im still juggling between Cursor, Conductor, OpenCode, Claude Desktop when working locally, haven't made my mind up. I really like what Conductor and OpenCode are doing. OpenCode is the best choice if you're building your own agent orchestrator, like I'm doing with trevize.dev

I moved from Denmark to Switzerland, then tried Spain for a few years, now I'm back in Switzerland - and my SaaS portfolio didn't notice. No office to close. No team to relocate. No client meetings to reschedule. Revenue kept coming in while I was unpacking boxes. This is what a real location-independent business looks like. If you need to "step away from the business" and it scares you - that is the business telling you something.

I have to admit. I got my AMG to signal status. I wanted a cool car in my early 30s. I didn't need it, but I thought I would regret not experiencing it now. This moment will be gone and I didn't want to live with the regret. If this is what you want, go for it now. Don't wait for the right moment. Don't listen to anybody. Make a dumb mistake and enjoy your life. That being said, my car is rotting in a garage, mostly 😂 I don't need it. Copenhagen is a city where using a car is slower than alternatives. Only about ~30% of people have one because it sucks compared to biking and public transport. On top of that, having a fast car in Denmark is risky business, I am 1 speed fine from having my drivers license suspended lol It was fun in the beginning, but now the novelty wear off. It's no different from getting a new iPhone. So I'll probably get rid of it. But I don't regret it, dumb or not 🫡

@d4m1n I've been building a new one last 6 months, almost ready to head out again. Seriously what's better than doing some vibe coding in the morning, fishing for lunch break and hiking in the afternoon.

From today, I am brainstorming a solution to this. I am sick and tired of this grifters stealing work without being punish or prosecuted. There has to be a way tos top it, I am done.
Michael Andreuzza@Mike_Andreuzza

In just came across to this, he created a fucking script that clones all of my themes at Lexington-Themes , builds each with Astro's --base flag for subdirectory deployment, and publishes to Cloudflare Pages at. This has to be punishable. Do i know someone working @github that cant take this thief account down or anything? Reselling and sharing someone else's work its not fine...
