I was very impressed with @AscensionMPA vision for protecting their marine environment, and bringing the community closer to the sea. It’s all about connections, people, and of course… data!

Such an engaged community at #BlueBeltSymposium24 real challenges that span from the UK, across the UK-OT’s. Sustained, long term funding is req’d to maintain and preserve our marine ecosystems ⁦@ukgovbluebelt⁩

We were honoured to receive a message from His Majesty King Charles III for #BlueBeltSymposium24. His Majesty said that #UKOT leaders are custodians of some of the world’s most important marine habitats and show “great commitment, creativity and care” in protecting their oceans.

@icey_mark I’m reading Palin’s book, Erebus. He has diary entries from the crew, and these names all came from their feelings at the end of years at sea. It was quite an expedition! It’s a good read, if you’re in need of a page turner when back

The sound of people suddenly realizing HS2 was about capacity. It was about moving fast services to dedicated lines to free up more space for everything else, including freight, and local trains, which is good for everyone. Now we'll have 0.5 million more trucks.
