@BayHawk619 thats so stupid since a perfect sidestep places you behind the opponent, a grab registering makes no sense. hope they change this

am i tripping or are perfectly timed side steps not working for grabs?? if side steps dont work then i think thats completely bs

@efrabruhh Couldnt tell you tbh. It was the night ranked mode was released and his name started with a K (Kusanagi or Kuroyanagi or something like that)

I got on ranked the night and started playing with this soi fon. Tbh I had never played online so I was complete dogass. I had honestly even forgot how to grab and flashstep since it had been a while since I played. So naturally, this soi fon shoves his rocket up my ass and pushes my shit in. I wanted revenge so I kept challenging him for the runback. At first I thought he was just taking sick pleasure in dominating someone who was clearly much worse at the game than he was. But then something strange happened. He started playing differently. It was worse, not enough to lose, but definitely less aggressive than before. He started letting the matches go on longer than they had to. There were times where instead of ending the match with a soul break, he would take less konpaku with a normal kikon move. Since I got the opportunity to breathe a bit more I slowly discovered how to use the mechanics I had previously forgotten. Once I had used those mechanics a few times, he would start intentionally knowledge checking me on them and force me to put them into practice. It like he was gently prodding me to get better at the game. By game 5 I realized he was definitely teaching me to be a better player on purpose. It was a genuinely heartwarming. In honor of this man I shall purchase a soi fon swimsuit figurine. I will never forget you soi fon.

@Totskuya1 you can also do tilt > anken and if you reacted early enough the anken will hit before the projectile does and they’ll go away

@Totskuya1 if he’s guard broken just perfect flash step and you’ll get the punish, then just do the heavy ender and don’t to kikon at the end so you can tilt right after, it will meaty and just spam heavy ender then tilt again and loop it till he got guard back up

@CapReviewzYT grabbing after flash step then doing tilt+light would get you even more damage. Doing heavy after anken also gets you more damage especially in sublimation/sprit drive
