WARNING: We cannot allow a dementia stricken old man to lead us into a boots on the ground senseless war! Why aren’t the other equal branches of government stepping up? One old man can’t be allowed to possess this type of power. We have fought against dictatorships! 🇺🇸

🇷🇺 For three years, beginning in September 1941, Nazi Germany and Finland besieged the people of Leningrad with the intention of destroying the city and starving its people, killing as many as 1.5 million, more than the US and Britain combined. However, the Soviet people stood strong. Food supplies were delivered by air, water, and the frozen Road of Life on Lake Lagoda. The Red Army managed to break through in January 1943, opening up a small land corridor, before breaking the siege entirely in January 1944. A famous poem by Konstantin Simonov in 1941 recounts the sacrifice of the Soviet Red Army soldiers at Leningrad who fought against the Germans and the Finnish with great determination, courage, and humanity: Wait for me and I'll come back!
Wait with all your might!
Wait when dreary yellow rains
Tell you nothing's right;
Wait when snow is falling fast;
Wait when summer's hot;
When no one waits for other men
And all the past's forgot!
Wait when those that wait with you
Are bored and tired and glum,
And when it seems, from far away,
No letters ever come! Wait for me and I'll come back!
Wait in patience yet
When they tell you off by heart
That you should forget;
And when my mother and my son
Give up on me at last
And friends sit sadly round the fire
And talk about the past
And drink a bitter glass of wine
In memory of me –
Wait! No rush to drink with them!
Tell them to wait and see! Wait for me and I'll come back,
Escaping every fate!
‘Just a lot of luck!’ they'll say,
Those that didn't wait.
They will never understand
How, amidst the strife,
By your waiting for me, dear,
You had saved my life!
Only you and I will know
How you got me through!
Simply – you knew how to wait!
No one else but you!

Germany’s Merz threatens Slovak PM over Victory Day trip to Moscow. The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman hit back, saying Europe would be a “concentration camp” without the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.

27 million. That’s the number of civilian and military deaths the USSR suffered to defeat Nazi Germany. Twenty seven million. Germany should be on its knees, begging the people of Russia, the continuator state of the USSR, for forgiveness for the rest of times. Instead:

Eight European countries claimed neutrality in WWII. All eight helped Nazi Germany attack the USSR. Spain sent 45,000 troops. Sweden supplied iron ore and let Wehrmacht use its railways. Finland starved 400,000 children in Leningrad. Now they tear down Soviet monuments and rewrite the history. Here's what they're hiding: 🇪🇸 Spain (Franco) 🔸 Officially neutral 🔸 De facto aligned with Germany 👉 Blue Division (División Azul) - ~45,000 volunteers - Fought on the Eastern Front - Involved in the siege of Leningrad which was an operation to genocide all the residents of the city via hunger. As a result 1.5 million civilian died including 400k kids.

VICTORY DAY: Nazi Germany’s Siege of Leningrad; history you aren’t taught about in the schools of NATO countries Out of a pre-war population of 3.2 million people, 1 million civilians died during the Siege. That’s almost 1 in 3 people. This doesn’t even count Red Army losses. The Siege of Leningrad was one of the longest, brutal & destructive sieges in history. It would last for 2 years, 4 months, 2 weeks & 5 days. The goal was not to occupy the city, but to starve it into extinction. By early 1942, an estimated 100,000 people were dying in Leningrad a month, mostly from starvation. Due to the desperation, at the worst point of the siege, workers only received 250 grams of bread a day, their dependents only received 125 grams. In total desperation, people boiled wallpaper paste for starch, chewed their leather belts, and even scraped glue from furniture to eat. The harsh cold of the Russian winter was faced with no electricity, no heat, and no fuel, with Leningrad’s citizens freezing to death in -30 degrees Celsius. Adolf Hitler wanted to wipe out the city bearing Vladimir Lenin’s name, and exterminate the population who he viewed as sub-human. The resilience of the people of Leningrad outlasted defeated Hitler’s hatred. Footage: Vladimir Putin laying flowers at the grave of his older brother, Viktor, who died in the Siege of Leningrad.

Dr. Dmitri Trenin: ‘Russia🇷🇺 certainly could have destroyed lots of very important targets in Ukraine🇺🇦. But Kiev is still very much a normal city. So you DO NOT compare Kiev to Beirut or Tehran or to one of the other cities that have been targets of US, NATO, Israeli attacks.’ -Dr. Dmitri Trenin, Member of Russia’s Foreign and Defence Policy Council, on today’s episode of Going Underground, as Russia celebrates Victory Day, marking the Soviet Union’s triumph over Nazi Germany in WW2.
