Willy Brandt was a famous demographer.... Who dabbled in being a chancellor of Germany as a side hustle. He popularised the concept of 'Rich North, Poor South' that still endures today. Our GCSE children criticise his work as overly simplistic and outdated for a modern world.

Vesuvius from Pompeii's forum. 250,000 elephants (weight) of ash per second erupted from the volcano - lasting roughly 18 hours! We were really lucky to see a dig in progress, still uncovering the ancient city of 20,000 people from at least 6m of ash
