@drrtydan @LeakerApple it isn’t a diving board, you can easily click on all 4 corners but it just isn’t Force Touch/haptic

@LeakerApple That’s actually a full dealbreaker for me. Any diving board trackpad on a windows laptop feels awful to me after using a force touch trackpad for so long. It doesn’t sound like a huge difference but going back and forth between the two is night and day.

One caveat.
MacBook Neo has a "multitouch" trackpad, not a "force touch" trackpad. This means it doesn't have haptic feedback and works like a traditional diving board trackpad.

But if it’s real, it means the iPad mini refresh will get thinner bezels and the A19 Pro chip. That’s a pretty solid upgrade.

@DylanMcD8 This isn't on the simulator this is on my phone, and the way it changes themes on the tab bar isn't consistent with just the 'glass container' thing, it's very biased and leads to strange buggy behavior in a scenario like instagram's,, you should try it out!

@eianblade genuinely not sure what you've done to get such buggy behavior but I do know that effects like this sometimes don't work right in simulator. either way their new "tab bar" uses a Liquid Glass background so its still gonna auto-adjust. just let the system do its thing

But there's still instability with the tab bar when it comes to switching themes, it looks like it biases towards the user-selected palette but I'm not sure how that would work with their swipe system that fades as you switch

@Cartidise because the native tab bar is extremely unreliable when switching themes and you can't remove the labels + center icons
imagine everything on ig reels being dark mode, but the tab bar is still blindingly white and just keeps flickering as content plays
