We can't be satisfied! The universe expands to give us more, more, more of everything, but everything is not enough, we want multiple everythings. How long until even multiple universes are not enough?

I become me, when I recognize myself in you.

That’s me in the yellow socks, I just ran the breathtaking Utah Valley Marathon, I run for mental health, while I’m running I’m at peace, but before it I get so anxious it makes me ill, and I swear I won’t put myself through that hell again, but afterwards I’m always glad I did.

Being precedes use.

Space has no present moment. There is no “now” to a stone, but to me a stone in my hand feels very present, but without my perspective, what is the size, location and age of this stone? I may say that this stone will remain here when I am gone, but without me, when is this stone?

To value being, is to value beings.

What is the difference between this moment, eleven years from now and 11 billion years ago, to a stone? The stone that I say is objectively there in front of me is only there, because I am here to observe it, if you doubt this, then tell me, when is now to a stone?

I wish I was there with you, to listen and encourage you to love something you thought was too difficult for you, and seeing you go for it, I would try loving something difficult too.

"Thy will be done" is one of those things that powerful people say.

After ten weeks of long runs, easy runs and speed workouts with #Garmin increasing my VO2 max at the start of the week and then resetting back at the end of the week, it has finally decreased it to lower than when I started training, but I am faster and fitter than ever.

In the past few years I trained for several marathons that I did not run because I got injured towards the end of the training cycle. Well, I am heading into my second marathon of the year, uninjured having made some difficult yet effective corrections to my running form, yay!

The world doesn’t change because we don't. New generations come and just perpetuate the same systems, over and over, not because they're good but because we are followers. From N Korea to N America, we all just nostalgically repeat what our parents did.

In contrast to "inner child", the idea of an "inner puppy" offers a more lighthearted way to engage in self-compassion. An inner puppy represents a playful yet vulnerable aspect of myself that I can nurture. This is helpful for those of us who find "inner child" to be triggering.
