Les Pays-Bas brûlent. Et pour la première fois de leur histoire, ils ont décroché le téléphone européen. Cette semaine, plusieurs incendies majeurs ravagent le territoire néerlandais : environ 500 hectares partis en fumée. Les sapeurs-pompiers néerlandais sont à bout : "à la limite de leurs capacités"... Alors ils ont activé le Mécanisme européen de protection civile. Pour la première fois. En 24h, l'Europe a répondu : 🇩🇪 21 camions + 67 pompiers allemands 🇫🇷 Du matériel et le 1er Régiment d'Instruction et d'Intervention de la Sécurité Civile mobilisé 🇧🇪 3 camions belges déjà au feu Quand on dit que l'Europe protège, voilà à quoi ça ressemble. J'ai bien sûr une pensée pour les pompiers néerlandais engagés depuis plusieurs jours sans relâche, qui tiennent face aux flammes. Pour leurs collègues allemands, belges, français, européen partis en renfort, qui ont laissé leur famille pour rejoindre des camarades qu'ils ne connaissent pas. C'est ça, l'Europe.

Use them and you will be punished to the maximum. Phones crossed out. Dishes crossed out. Even the word “Starlink” in blood-red letters. They are openly hunting us for daring to seek truth. And they just proved they mean it. This innocent Iranian father [second image] was using Starlink — just like me — to get real news for his family in the middle of the blackout and get the censored information out to the world. They arrested him. They tortured him. They beat him to death. A father. A husband. A man who only wanted to protect his children from the regime’s lies. I am using Starlink right now to write these words to you. Every single day the regime’s agents threaten me. Every single day I know I could be next. My heart is shattered. My soul is on fire. The fear is real and it never leaves. But I will not stop. My country is on the line. My people are on the line. 90 million Iranians are suffocating in this 47-year nightmare. We are living in hell — neither war nor peace, economic pressure crushing every family, their new Chinese-style tiered internet and “White Simcard” loyalty system deciding who is even allowed to see the outside world. And now they are literally killing people for trying to connect. We have endured massacres, rapes, executions, and grief for 47 years. We have buried our sons and daughters in the streets. We danced and cried with pure joy when you removed Khamenei because we finally saw hope. This father’s blood will not be in vain. We are willing to endure everything — the blackouts, the arrests, the torture, the economic pressure— if it means the Islamic Republic finally falls. Anything to be free. Anything to end this evil. Today, right after the call of “Allahu Akbar” at dawn, the regime in Iran, placed a noose around this young man’s neck and kicked the chair from under his feet, so he would struggle, suffocate, and die. Yes this is happening in 21st century. They executed him because he went to protest with empty hands and said he wanted freedom. His name is Amirali Mirjafari. He was only 22 years old. They called him a “leader” of the protests. But they never said when he was arrested, how he was tortured, or how he was tried. Because everything was done in silence, a silence enforced by threats against his family. They imprisoned him in silence. They tortured him in silence. They tried him in silence. And they executed him in silence. Dozens of protesters have been executed the same way. Yet many political leaders in the West, who suddenly worry about “international law”, after a military strike against Ali Khamenei and members of IRGC have not said a single word about these barbaric killings. Why? Why is there silence when young civilians are hanged for demanding freedom?

We want to be in the European Union. And I am confident that if some representatives of the EU do not make mistakes, we will be there. We are already strengthening the EU, first and foremost from a security perspective. And today, security is a priority for everyone. A union that could be much stronger – I believe this would be a union of such countries as Norway, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye. These are four countries that the European Union is lacking. Because Türkiye and Ukraine together outmatch Russia’s army: from control of the Black Sea to control of airspace. I know there are questions when it comes to Türkiye. I know that the United Kingdom has left the European Union. I know that Norway has many different forms of cooperation and economic ties with the EU, and so on. But I still believe that these four countries would make the EU the strongest union in the world, with the best security in the world. We are not seeking an alternative. I simply believe that these four countries are very strong and would make the European Union stronger. And even these four countries on their own would certainly form a very strong union. The True Size of Netherlands 🇳🇱

What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.
