every technology is sold and marketed. aol literally sent CD's to households every week begging them to get online. the question is what is the perceived value to the public. until valuable services moved online, there was little perceived value. what is the current perceived value for ai in the general public: professional augmentation and life management (per the latest anthropic survey) the messaging should either double down on these use cases or present 'images' where more cases are demonstrated this is a little too rational, simply there should be a feeling that comes with ai. with the internet that feeling was related to connection, communication... there needs to be a similar association with ai... i fear 'intelligence' is not it !

design is dead. literature is dead. everything is dead except this: another alarmist high cortisol clickbait thread for the echo chamber. anyway look at this 30 second clip i screen recorded with quicktime player. isn’t it beautiful. it took no time, no thought, no intention. just the sweet sleek deception of a beveled edge, a websafe font, and the disfigured contour of what was once human creative labor dressed up as a conversation about taste or what’s left of it. i’m so highbrow. i’m so on top of it. this one tweet is going to obliterate everything that came before it.

it’s funny how the people who love making shit end up finding themselves in the same room
