#isles I agree with much of this. That being said... One of the most shocking turnarounds I've had is how I feel about Sorokin. I do not like his contract. I don't think he's always going to be as good as he has been lately. I'm extremely worried about him longterm on that deal. But I would not trade him. For a couple reasons. The first is that you're not likely to get anything in the return that helps in the near future. The second is that we'd have to find a replacement and in the league right now goaltending is a serious weakness. Goaltending and defense. And the league's looking at expanding another team or two in the next few years. I still hate big goalie contracts. I still don't value the position the same. But with the league expanding, and so many teams struggling to find consistent goaltending, I just don't think you move Sorokin right now. His value will likely never be higher than it is right now - but getting anything at that position, especially if the league follows through with expanding, will be real tough. Take the stability at the position and look at rotating out spare parts and picks to add the things you need. We've enough instability at wing and defense right now to worry about.
