Government leaders agree on a 20 cent cut in excise duty on diesel and a 15 cent cut on petrol until the end of May. Tanaiste Simon Harris has also recommended a diesel rebate scheme for hauliers and bus operators, which will be backdated.

@ektaggart @Gedpower No! We don’t need to turn everything possible into even more dedicated space for ever bigger cars! Plenty use it for walking, 🚴‍♂️ and running in the mornings Put in a proper cycle route from Port Soderick to Ballasalla and Castletown and it will take cars off the roads.

Stay clear of the A5 Castletown Road. Traffic is backed up to Fairy Bridge on the lane into Douglas.
