Since we live in a rural area I use books to bring the world to my students. I want them to not only see themselves in the books they read but all learn about others around them. Books are essential.

#ClearTheList I’m an 8th grade reading teacher in a rural area outside of Houston, Texas. My list is full of books that I would like to add to my classroom library. 📚 amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls…

I tried to make sure this month was full of different genres- romance, mystery, and fantasy. Hopefully you can find a title or two that you can add to your TBR. 🌴 Are you looking forward to any of the same new releases? 🌴 What is on your TBR list for July?

This week is teacher appreciation week. Pandemic teaching has lead to many teachers already overflowing list of roles to be continually added to. If you have a few minutes, send your child’s teacher a quick thank you.

There are so many amazing books that are coming out this month so I tried to add books to my TBR from a variety of genres. *and they just happened to all have strong female protagonists again this month.*

☀️ May YA Releases ☀️ May is the month when my reading usually starts to pick up. End of year stress always seems to cause me to escape into books as a form of self care.

*side note- I have noticed in the last few years that I’ve only been reading MG & YA books. This last year I stepped outside of that and started reading adult books again and I will never go back!*

*possible* January TBR Stack Are there any books in this stack that you’ve read and loved? What are you planning to read as your first book of 2022?

These titles are books that I believe even the most reluctant reader will devour. From strong female protagonists face prejudices to worlds that can only be real in your imagination-they all have a plot that has stayed with me. What would you say is your top book for 2021? 🤔

📚2021 Reading Reflection📚 2021 was a year of voracious reading for me. Books were an escape when the world became too much. 🤗 I truly believe that each one of these books should be included in your 8th grade class library.📖
