I don’t think Malachi leaves, though it may be a little more tempting than some folks realize. But can you imagine how completely screwed UK would be if he did? That possibility has some people rightfully concerned. There is truly no path to even minimal success without Malachi. It’s something that has to be monitored, and nobody can really exhale until he’s officially back.

@BRamseyKSR A fine roster but certainly lacking elite talent. We don’t need the best roster in college hoops but the gap between us and the top teams can’t be this large. The talent disparity between us and Florida, us and Duke, us and UConn, us and Michigan feels very large.

We are now into the first full week of May and Kentucky’s roster for 2026-2027 still needs some work. +There is a NEED for a backup 5-man. +Adding another shooter would sure be nice. +Then, there is room for the elusive STAR…but I’m not sure there is a STAR available.

$50 million college football rosters is wild. I think college football — and basketball to a degree — are headed to a place where only the ten biggest schools can afford to pay players and a ton of the others are facing bankruptcy and/or cutting tons of programs to keep up.

@LiamPicksFights JDM is a solid fighter, but he lacks elite skills in any one particular area. On the other hand, Islam is an elite grappler and wrestler, Prates is an elite striker, and Morales has elite power and size for the division. A fight between JDM and Leon makes sense.

This is the difference Prates is unshakable. Need to kill him or he will try to kill you until the bitter end. Jack can be shaken. Islam broke him, and I am not sure what confidence he brought to the octagon tonight He needs a step down in competition for a mental bounce back

@JacobTweetsBS @DamonMartin I’d love to see Morales vs Islam. He’s got a size advantage and the wrestling background needed. Islam will take Prates down the same way he did JDM. It’ll be one sided, imo. Islam vs Garry will also be one sided, imo.

@DamonMartin I think Prates should be next, do Ian vs Morales. yes, Ian beat Prates, but that fight was close enough that you can argue for Prates getting the title shot based on his 3 fights, 3 KOs (2 over former champions) after that fight, whereas Ian has 1 DEC win in the same timeframe.
