@MLewitin @Scholastic Scholastic book fairs support the schools' media center budgets. When you boycott a huge company, it's not the decision makers that suffer. It's the lowest totem pole employees, their families, and the connected organizations that suffer.

@MLewitin @Scholastic We just had a Scholastic book fair at our school. Multiple diverse books were on the shelves. I wish I took a picture because one shelf looked like it was taken from the Texas list of banned PBs.

Picked this up at my local library for Banned Books Week. Is it just me, or when you hear a book is banned, does it make you more curious to read it? In high school, I chiefly picked Catcher in the Rye to read because I heard it had been banned.

@AndrewsSusanM Oh, I wasn't very disappointed, I was one of those plucking the last apples off those trees :) I don't like the crowds for other reasons, but I got my bag of apples and there will be an apple pie this week :)
