@chirno_helmet @elbepig Maine in particular has a lot of Lobster. I’m from the south originally, right on the Atlantic. South Carolina Shrimp and Grits is proof of God’s love!

There’s a Japanese breakfast
that the rest of the world fears.
This.
Hot rice.
Fermented soybeans.
Sticky. Slimy. Smelly.
It’s called Natto.
Literally: “Fermented Beans.”
The internet’s reaction:
“What is that smell?”
“It looks alive.”
“I’d rather starve.”
Shut up and try it first.
The beans stretch into thin threads,
coat every grain of rice,
and hit you with that deep,
funky, addictive umami.
Come to Japan and try it.
It’ll haunt you forever.

@Depon_the_cat Once you get past the gatekeepers, proselytizers, and fanatics... you realize that Christianity is also simply about thinking in a certain way and connecting to God and all creation.

@Iwatekko6969 We have been eating "katsu" for many years now lol
It is very popular in my home.
I don't know why Americans made the name shorter.

@tt_ttaa41634614 Siddhartha would see Jesus and immediately rejoice.
Confucius would extoll the virtues of both Buddha and Jesus.
Mookhamed would see that there were no children to rape or slaves to sell... and he would bomb the others to try to get his 72 virgin/whores...

@3nityDiary @SULLY10X Sport hunting = trophies Subsistence hunting = food
My family eats venison.
I would never take a stressed/injured animal for food because of the changes in blood chemistry.
Either way, any hunter would help the injured deer.
