@an_be_ca It usually comes down to scale. Small projects and small-scale distribution seem to be “fine” (?) but you could run into trouble if you tried to sell a massive print run or something. Similar to if you tried to mass-produce and sell a ton of physical merch 😆

Hi came back here to ask a stupid question. Similar to how artists draw and sell Sonic fanart, can an artist draw a full Sonic comic and sell it, too?

@electrikitty1 /Cream can drive a car, so I don't take it seriously. But in Shadow Gen, he's tortured on screen. It would be weird for me to watch that, thinking the character isn't mentally mature/adult or almost adult.

Shadow is an ageless, mature character. You do not need to feel threatened or morally panicked by the idea of someone shipping him with an adult, even if you prefer to ship him with a teenager. People are allowed to have different views, headcanons, and shipping preferences

Why do so many people think that Shadow is literally a teenager? What part of “immortal, ageless being with physical similarities to Sonic” makes you think he’s actually 16 years old? Shadow has 1-4 years of lived experience and had had 50 years of stasis. The math is not mathing

People will genuinely get mad at you for saying you should focus on canon when discussing the canon text. Headcanons are always fine, but when discussing the actual text they do not take precedence.

as a fic writer you can't take the time to update a fic because ppl will get impatient and accuse you of being selfish, but you can't pre-write the fic and post the chapters quickly either because then you're accused of using ai.
