Some lab rules: - no phones allowed - 6 days/week compulsory 9-6 work - late more than 3 days will result in stipend deduction I feel like I'm already in corporate just with negligible pay🫥🫥

It is extremely painful to hear such stories. No wonder we as a nation are a subject of ridicule globally in research and academia.

How can an iit not provide decent living conditions... I'm literally so disappointed at how indifferent they are to our problems.
- topmost floor with direct sunlight in this hot weather..rooms stay hot 24/7
- water coolers have scalding hot water
- no wifi
- very limited space

@electro_pppp go to hostel office and ask them to change room to a lower floor. they will mostly change. u just have to ask them in person.

@DsThakurRawat They literally gave their worst hostels for interns while the good ones are literally empty.
Ik it's supposed to be hot here but the administration doesn't even consider caring to help us.

@electro_pppp One of my cousin did research internship at IIT M in compiler designing after graduation
They provided him 70-80k stipend
But he had to arrange for his food and living
I think project was of qualcomm

@Your_PARAM Exactly there r too many reasons why ppl never choose research in india... there's literally no respect no considerable stipend and just bad facilities.

@electro_pppp research work & hasn't developed in india yet neither lots of folks feels entusiastic 'bout it and you must be aware of the very reasons so they do the way things had been done for years and WFH is something out of their sylabus which they mustn't be thinking to adapt & encourage
