LA meet-up was so fun!🐧🤝🐵✨ Amazing meetup w/ Pudgy LA and @ApeLosAngeles. Yes…apes and penguins DO get along. So many great people, builders, and good vibes. Really appreciated all the awesome goodies too, from the @elevatedbath soaps, to the cool pins. Amazing seeing communities come together IRL like this. Pudgys showed up and showed out! We also made sure the @mfigge (@BoredApeYC CEO) left with some @pudgypenguins goodies of course.🎁 And one of the coolest moments of the day… my penguin plush finally met the famous Pengu tattoo IRL.🐧 Amazing! Big shoutout to @bigsaucedoteth and @seannana for taking the lead and bringing everyone together. Seriously appreciate the effort behind making this happen. And yes…that Pudgy duffle bag arrived FULL of plushies and goodies and somehow left completely empty.😂 Hope everyone enjoyed the Pudgy surprises from @PenguJuiceCo.💙 More meetups to come frens.✨

There's a massive disconnect in the incentive structures driving crypto and tech growth right now. Marketing teams get bloated budgets not to bring in real users, but to pay OTHER MARKETERS. Companies burn through cash to a handful of big accounts with shit reputations because those vanity metrics (likes, comments, “reach”) still let them hit quotas. It’s all circle jerk theater. These influencers get paid to talk about your product without ever using it, caring about it, or even believing in it. They’re not shilling for the project or the users. They’re shilling for their own payday, their own personal brand metrics. Meanwhile, actual user conversion? Loyalty? Retention? Barely tracked. The current game is optimized for headlines and follower counts, not PMF or long term value. This is why the industry feels so hollow right now. We used to be the place where participants earned their piece of the pie by actually using and building the product. Grassroots. Boots on the ground. Power users grinding, experimenting, and winning because their success was directly tied to the protocol or app succeeding. Now the marketing/growth structures are built around attention, not value. Everyone is left holding the bag after the superficial campaign hype cycle ends. And it’s not sustainable FOR EITHER SIDE. Creators get paid per campaign and hope there will be the next thing without having to sell their integrity or souls to vapor. Projects bleed cash on marketing that doesn’t compound beyond attention. Users get rugged by the very attention economy that was supposed to serve them. The whole flywheel is BROKEN - money flows to the middlemen who optimize for short term noise instead of long term signal. We need to go back to the original model. REAL users earning through USAGE, not through posting. Power users with no artificial caps on what they can earn. When the product wins, they win harder. No middleman skimming 80% of the attention budget. That’s how early crypto actually grew. Not through perfectly timed social campaigns, but through people who lived and breathed the product. Open comms with users and founders to make the best product possible. Stop optimizing for who can yell the loudest on social. Start optimizing for who actually uses, builds, and sticks around. The industry is fcked if we keep rewarding the megaphone instead of the hands that help build it. Get back in the product, participate, grind without caps. Your bags should come from participation and product success, not influencer noise. If you're a power user and love testing out products and new features. For those who are about participating without having to "build a personal brand." HMU
