I'm pleased to share a summary of my doctoral research exploring how women story their experience of miscarriage. This research produced new knowledge of how narratives impact identity following pregnancy loss and offers important considerations for healthcare policy and practice

WE DID IT! Today after years of heartache, frustration and fierce campaigning alongside @_OliviaBlake and @tommys, we have CHANGED the law. Miscarriage care and Women’s health as a result has advanced greatly. I still can’t quite believe it! Thank you to all who have stood by us.

“Girl, 9, accused of being trans at Kelowna track meet” This is where anti-trans hate leads. It is an attack on all forms of gender non-conformity, ending in the re-imposition of regressive gender norms and threatening progress on women’s rights. castanet.net/news/Kelowna/4…

Reported a stalker and ended up being stalked by the lead officer on the case, showed up at my work a few times and kept sending me drunk texts and messages. His team raided my house to take away my phone after I reported him. Never got my phone back, no result from the report.

Denying people the human right to claim asylum. Forcibly removing people to Rwanda. Locking people up simply for seeking safety. This cruel law does not represent us. It's time for a fair, compassionate & workable asylum system. Who's with us? #TogetherWithRefugees

BREAKING: The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has surpassed 41,000. Deaths are expected to rise, especially in Syria, and 26 million people are in need of humanitarian aid. Survivors are still being found after 200+ hours under rubble, but hopes are fading.

Three weeks ago, I had a miscarriage. I was six weeks pregnant. I live in Texas, a state that has effectively banned abortions. A thread about what it is to cease to be pregnant in a state where abortions are banned:

It is a little hard for me to take the hand-wringing about non-violent protests outside the homes of Supreme Court Justices seriously when the Supreme Court itself ruled protests outside the homes of *doctors who provide abortions* is protected by the 1st amendment.
