Welp, the police just left my house... Last night I received this message on discord while playing a scary game. This person wrote in my Twitch chat that they had a message for me that was scarier than the game I was playing. They created a new twitch and discord account specifically to message me from. They used my full legal name (I have two middle names because I was adopted - it is not well known). They then insinuated that they would "fuck around" and "find out" (I have a flag on my wall that says "fuck around and find out"), which sounds like a threat towards me and my family. They shared my home address where I stream and live, which indicated to me that this is a real threat and is just terrifying in general. After much consideration, I called the police. They came out and made a report of everything I know. I believe I know who this person is. They even met my mom and referred to her by her first name in my Twitch chat. We are VERY careful with our personal info being out there and I have a long time viewer who I became friends with awhile back who turned out to be a creepy stalker person who knows our address and knows more personal info about me than most. You never know who you're dealing with. The police said this isn't just limited to creators or "famous" people. There are people who are mentally ill or don't have limitations that are normal among us all. Be careful who you get close to. Keep your circle tight and stay strapped. I abruptly ended my subathon (I will resume soon I promise!) and I ordered more cameras for our house. I am also cleaning my guns.
