What a season for Conner Butler. Butler decided to not play basketball his senior season & worked his tail off in the offseason to bat leadoff. Butler batted .350ish this year and drove in 3 runs tonight in the region finals. Huge season for CB.

Might be easier to root for James Ndayishimiye than any athlete in the state. Congolese refugee whose dad died as family fled to Uganda. Single mother got him and seven siblings to the U.S. Had never ran competitively until February. Multiple college scholarship offers now.
