@KaweesiSimonP @tibzkarts2 What’s wrong with the statement. There is a lot of advice people have received in life and never take. Let them do the same. It’s not that deep

People defending Mukyala Pumla and calling public criticism envy are falling into what psychology calls the halo effect. No one is attacking her success, people are simply disagreeing with her statement. And that’s fair. She can be successful and still be wrong on certain views.

@MemeHimHarmony I don’t think she is unhappy but it shows a need for people to do some work on themselves. Not all advise people receive triggers them to this level. There is need for more detailed money conversations .

those are rubbish individuals... I only took a problem with her claiming all money shared between a wife and husband, first thing the husband would go to create a new family😂 lol

@tibzkarts2 Unfortunately Most seem to be speaking of her divorce that is so unrelated to what she said . What’s that in psychology again?

@KCCAUG this campaign of tosula kasasiro is good but can you also add some functional dustbins. The ones that were put for the other conference were removed after it ended 😂.

@theBennitez I agree with you but not all salary earners get that privilege. Some get loans from loan sharks, apps, so yes mama Naka has challenges but sometimes those challenges are not unique to her. A employee whose pay is per day is affected the same way. They earn more but same challenges

"It’s easy to talk about consistency when you aren't choosing between saving 1k and buying tonight’s supper. For Mama Naka, every coin is already spoken for by the landlord, the school, or the debt collector. You can’t save what you don’t have after survival takes its cut."
Tickle_me_wild@ellapyt73

@theBennitez @Shifframarvins1 I think saving can be done by all people regardless of how much you earn, you may not save at the same level as her but with consistent you will see a difference

@theBennitez Yes a salary earner and a person working in market are two different lives that sometimes can’t be compared but there certain things that are similar in a way. There times salary earners get loans from loan sharks. We can’t look at certain issues one sided.

@ellapyt73 You are trying to compare apples and oranges. A salary earner getting a bank loan with collateral is world apart from a market woman taking a "mulalo" (money lender) loan with daily interest

@theBennitez @Shifframarvins1 we can’t look at everyone with a deficit budget as a low income earners. We see people choosing very expensive lifestyles which don’t fit their earnings. It’s different from someone who is trying to spend the least and can’t even get that least from their earnings.

@ellapyt73 @Shifframarvins1 I get your point, but you're describing 'low income' as if it's a budget choice. it’s a math problem that doesn't add up. When rent, food, and school fees are 110% of what you earn, 'thinking you have little' isn't the problem having a deficit is. You can't save a negative blc

@theBennitez @Shifframarvins1 I agree with you but your perspective of a big salary earner to be the one to save is wrong. Yes there people struggling with debt and lack the option that’s true but there also low income earners who don’t save because they think they have little. Hope you get my perspective too

@ellapyt73 @Shifframarvins1 "Consistency doesn't work when you’re trapped in a cycle of daily interest loans just to keep your stall open. If she saves that 'little' instead of paying back the loan, she loses her business tomorrow. That's not a lack of discipline; that’s a lack of options."

@ellapyt73 @Shifframarvins1 It sounds like your are looking at this from a very "textbook" financial advice perspective without considering the reality of survival. When you’re living hand to mouth, "saving" isn't a choice it’s a luxury that doesn't exist

@Shifframarvins1 Are we going to tell mama Naka who sells onions on mudala to plan and save for her son's university when she even need a 100k loan from a mulalo to be paying daily. Or we focus on the big salary earner in government position

So if a woman gets a tubal ligation because she doesn’t want children, it’s “ridiculous and immature” and if she has a child, works hard and plans well for said child, she’s “too much” and “boisterous”. We can’t win in the court of public opinion, walayi
