Brookey worked in many different segments of PR. She worked in crisis communication when a patient at Hillcrest Hospital passed away. The controversy began with the use of "boiled blood" during surgery, but came back that using boiled blood was not the cause of death #GaylordPR

Her APR leverage is what Brookey used when she moved to Houston for a part-time public relations profession. She wanted to find a job that would highlight her strengths rather than just asking for a job. #GaylordPR

As the PR field is so broad, Brookey wanted to give her perceptive of what this field entails. She encourages that before you graduate college to practice in the field to give you an indication of what your future could look like. #GaylordPR
