We came up in the same early 2000s new music wave in Chicago though I was obviously experiencing it from a different side as an administrator. It seems unfair that I get to remain here to hold the torch in my own way, when he was one that pushed us, me, to aim higher, try harder.

Calling my representatives this morning actually made me feel worse, as though I was literally shouting into the void.
