Antiracist racism and the determination to defend one’s skin, which is characteristic of the colonized’s response to colonial oppression, clearly represent sufficient reasons to join the struggle. — Frantz Fanon, Wretched of the Earth (p.121)

Slavery is alive and well. In Libya, Black Africans are being sold for $400 by Arab Libyans. I blame the African governments.

Nigerians celebrate japa (the idea of leaving your country for another in search of greener pastures), and too often when they feel like they have arrived, they team up with their host countries to support policies to dehumanize this mass exodus. They never stop to think what was responsible for this mass exodus in the first place. They would never ask themselves who forced them to abandon everything that defines them (their culture, their language, family, food, etc) to Japa in the first. If they think about it for a minute, they will realize that these western countries they have been made to see as paradise are the same countries responsible for destabilizing their homes which results in this mass exodus to begin with. Under normal circumstances, why would anyone want to leave Africa to a climate like Europe?

Bobby Hutton was one of the original member of the Black Panther Party. After being bombed with tear gas and trapped in a burning basement, he came out shirtless to prove he was unarmed and the police immediately shot him 12 times and he died. He was just 17💔
