Turned up for more induction training this morning and was told it wouldn't be going ahead (some emergency took priority) so I went shopping instead and bought way too much stuff 🙈🙈

Day 1 of induction at the new job it was bloody freezing but very interesting and looking forward to getting stuck in next week 🤗

A 1% pay-rise for all NHS nurses is ~£82.5m. Government WASTED TWICE that amount (£155m) on a SINGLE botched PPE contract, given to a friend of Liz Truss. Guess it’s who you know that matters more to this government, not what you do.

Had to call off placement this morning due to the weather, can’t get my car out of street..now having major anxiety about being off! What if they think I’m at it? Are they talking about me? Anxiety sucks 😢 @WeStudentNurse @StNurseProject

@thisladywill As a healthcare professional we are taught to use the words death/died so there's no ambiguous language particularly with children the implication that lost means they can be found and that creates issues I 100% think death should be talked about more in an open and honest way

When you say you don’t know who to believe on Covid, you’re treating the testimony of frontline NHS doctors and nurses like me as no more believable than anonymous Twitter trolls. Can you imagine how that makes us feel? We’re your NHS. Please trust us 💙

@WeStudentNurse Im hearing impaired myself and wear bilateral hearing aids and although it would be great to teach BSL as part of the course there's already a lot of content and expecting even more is a lot of pressure but in my experience basic deaf awareness would go a hell of a long way 👌
