What a great evening at the EL Family Advisory Council! @gcschoolsnc superintendent, Dr. Oakley, shared important updates about GCS initiatives with EL families, and parents provided valuable feedback. A meaningful night of learning, cultural exchange, and thoughtful questions!

We had a fantastic session with the @gcschoolsnc Mental Health Services , exploring the 8 dimensions of wellness and completing a self-care wheel. A great reminder of the importance of caring for our whole selves!

#GCSUpdates | Good afternoon, families. Due to the threat of strong winds beyond what is safe for school bus travel, GCS will be closed to students on Monday, March 16. Meals will be available at school locations at 9 a.m. and noon. Thank you and please be safe.

Students at Western High created travel itineraries of their home countries and hosted a cultural showcase for the school. Classes traveled the world, without leaving campus to celebrate students’ cultures while building public speaking and academic conversation skills!
