Not every “building in public” post is progress, some are just digital panic. If you’re building in public, you should have a reason for building in public, you should have goals. Your goals will help you understand: • Your target audience • Their pain-points • The platforms to build on • How to funnel your audience into a community • How to generate opportunities from your portfolio If you’re building in public and don’t have a WHY, then you’re not building, you’re simply loitering the internet with your footprints. This is why many people stay visible, yet remain very stagnant. THEY DO NOT HAVE GOALS for building in public. So the question to ask, is WHAT AM I REALLY BUILDING IN PUBLIC? . Here’s a guide to help! If you’re building, your goals must pass through these 5 Stages… 1️⃣Identification → What career path are you pursuing? 2️⃣Positioning → What problem do you want to be known for solving? 3️⃣Audience Mapping → Who is actively looking for this solution? 4️⃣Execution → What do you document, share, and ship publicly? 5️⃣Conversion → How does attention turn into skills, community, or income? Or you can simply call what I call it, THE BUILD FRAMEWORK. Perfect. Here’s a named framework, with a clear example, and a strong CTA, all in the same arrow-driven style 👇 Not every “building in public” post is progress → some are just digital panic. Your goals help you define: → Who you’re building for (target audience) → What they struggle with (pain points) → Where you should show up (platforms) → How attention becomes ownership (community) → How work turns into opportunity (portfolio) No WHY → no direction. No direction → public wandering. The BUILD → PUBLIC Framework B → Baseline Where you are right now (skills, experience, gaps) U → Use-case The problem you want to be known for solving I → Ideal Audience The exact people who benefit from that solution L → Leverage Platforms Where those people already pay attention D → Document Execution Share processes, lessons, wins, and mistakes. Example Let’s say you want a career in Web3 Community Management: Baseline → You’re managing Telegram & Discord for small projects. Use-case → Helping Web3 projects retain users and reduce churn. Ideal Audience → Founders & ecosystem leads. Leverage Platforms → X and LinkedIn Document Execution → → Daily insights from community ops → Case studies from your work → Lessons from failed experiments Result → Visibility → Trust → DMs → Roles, retainers, speaking opportunities Building in public is not about noise, it’s about narrative. This is the best way to get value for what you’re building!

Expectations for Week 1: Week 1 is centered on the fundamentals of blockchain and the architecture of Metis, which provides an excellent kickoff for the week. I am eager to learn how the @MetisL2 ecosystem functions and to relate it to practical applications in the real world.

The Process I Took for the Assignment: Forking the project's repo, created an "About Me" file and a new branch, pushed my changes, and made a pull request. My familiarity with Git/GitHub made it direct, but it also encouraged the value of a structured and detailed workflow.
