If I Wasn’t An Artiste, I’d Probably Own A Media House - Davido Davido says he would still have built a career in the entertainment industry even if music had not worked out for him. In an interview with PlayKisstra, the Grammy-nominated artist revealed that his passion for show business would have steered him toward running a record label or a media company, rather than performing. “I’d probably be a label owner or have a media house because I’ve always loved entertainment,” he said. “Even if I was working in my daddy’s office, I can see myself having a side business like a music label just because I love music.” The singer also revealed that he holds a degree in business management and believes he could have pursued a corporate career if necessary. “I have a degree. I have a BSc in Business Management, so I can go to Barclays here and try to get a job,” he said. “You know what I’m saying? I could get a job. I can actually get a job. I got a résumé.” Davido rose to fame in 2012 after releasing ‘Dami Duro,’ the second single from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’. He has established a name for himself as one of Africa’s leading artistes as well as one of the Afrobeats ‘Big Three’. Source: The Cable

Today's Daily Devotion: And I Will Pray The Father, And He Shall Give You Another Comforter, That He May Abide With You For Ever John 14 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Source: Bible gateway

"I have not slept the same since.Last Saturday"- Lady who sat in a room with Tony Elumelu., shares encounter A young lady named Blossom Affia has shared her encounter with billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu. In her words: "Last Saturday I sat in a room with Tony Elumelu. I have not slept the same since. 2 sentences from this man rearranged me. I sat five rows from the stage, holding it all in 1️⃣ Be ambitious (almost delusionally so) When he first said he wanted to own a bank, people laughed at him, today he owns one of the biggest banks in Africa. (let that sink in) As a growing professional, you need a small level of delusion to do extraordinary things. Because if your eyes cannot see it & your mind cannot fathom it, your hands will never hold it. Dream BIG. And please, stop saying "it cannot be me," because why not you? 2️⃣ Work very very hard. Ehen… This one made me clean my lip gloss and sit up straight. A whole multi-billionaire told us he still works like it's day one. Meanwhile most of us catch small wins and start relaxing, small clients and we're already tired, one viral post and we've disappeared. No, no, no… Do so much that the universe runs out of reasons to say no to you. Do so much that even God will be like "okay okay, let me bless this one" I'm telling you, Saturday rearranged something inside me. If you needed a sign to lock in, this is it 🥹 Go and be delulu. Go & outwork the room. Your winning season has already started. Ps: Are you being delulu enough this season? Yes or no? No lying 😂" Credit: Blossom Affia

Lady shares an heartbreaking story on how a 26 year old young man living abroad died in his sleep after so much pressure from family members, says stop selling land and property to send one person abroad there is no guarantee they will save you from poverty. A young lady named Cee Cee on Facebook has shared the heartbreaking story on how a young man living abroad died mysteriously in his sleep after so much pressure from family members, back home. In her words: "A 26 year old young man just died in his sleep in the diaspora on Sunday. What killed him? His mother and family members pressuring him for black tax. This young man was working as a security guard and earning 15 dollars an hour. Barely enough to cover his expenses in his one room shared apartment. He was said to have been heard always arguing with his mom and siblings back home about money for rent, upkeep etc. His mom would compare him to other people who travelled and liberated their family from poverty The young man was living in so much pain and distress. Possible developed high blood pressure and died in his sleep. The last call he answered was from his mom the night before he died and roommates reported his voice was high as usual. The misconception about financial freedom that comes with moving abroad should be a joint task new migrants should help debunk. So many of the older migrants were doing so many things that are no longer easy or tenable now to make money. Right now? There are more people in the system and less jobs and even the few jobs don’t pay as much. And the rate people loose their jobs abroad is story for another day. Please be kind to your family members abroad. People are going through a lot !! Plus please stop selling land and property to send one person abroad and messiah. There is no guarantee they will save you from poverty. Credit: Cee Cee|Facebook

"I don’t work as hard as I used to in Nigeria"- Nigerian lady says she has achieved more living in Canada for just two years than she did living in Nigeria almost all her life Nigerian lady named Chiletam on Facebook has outlined all her achievements living in Canada for just two years as she recently welcomed a friend to Canada. She encouraged her friend, sharing her story. In her words: "I have achieved more in two years in Canada than I did in almost all my life in Nigeria. Yesterday, my friend landed in Canada from Nigeria. I spent time giving her my personal orientation on money, opportunities, and settling into life here. Over the past two years, I have built multiple streams of income that pay my bills without making me feel burdened. That was something I struggled to achieve in Nigeria. In fact, while I was in Nigeria, I used to think the idea of having seven streams of income was a myth, one of those motivational phrases people throw around😁 Then I came to Canada and realized it is actually possible to build multiple income streams when you’re in a system with opportunities that allow people to earn in different ways. In two years, I achieved what I struggled for years to accomplish. But that’s not even the craziest part. The craziest part is that I don’t work as hard as I used to in Nigeria…. I go to bed earlier now. I’m more relaxed and at peace. I eat better and have more energy. I’m more balanced financially, emotionally, and mentally. I still have time for recreation. It was a long but fulfilling conversation, walking her through building a life overseas. At 40, she told me she felt she hadn’t achieved much in life. I encouraged her to forge ahead. She already did the difficult part—relocating. Sometimes, there is nothing wrong with you. Your environment is limiting the return on your effort. I’m always happy when someone achieves their japa dream. May all our years of struggle give way to years of growth, restoration and laughter. Credit: Chiletam|Facebook

"I was mocked by friends, called “the rejected one by neighbors"- Nigerian lady shares trying times after waiting for a child For 20 years and finally delivering her baby Nigerian lady on Facebook named Chizoba C Odogwu has shared how she waited for a child For 20 years and the challenges she encountered those period before eventually birthing her child. In her words: "I waited 20 years to welcome my baby 🍼 For 20 years, I waited… prayed… hoped… and held on. God gave me the grace to wait in love. While trusting Him for my own child, I poured my heart into loving and caring for many children—not only my nieces and nephews—and I did it with joy. I mothered with empty arms, but a full heart. Days became months, months became years. I was mocked by friends, called “the rejected one” by neighbors, while others seemed to have children so easily. There were tears no one saw, questions only God heard, and silent battles I fought in faith. Yet I held on to His promises. I told God, Even if You choose not to remember me, Your name cannot change. You will still be my God. And I kept loving, kept serving, kept believing. Today, God has placed my testimony in my arms. He gave us Eliana — My God has answered me. Ifeabata💡 light has come. 🙌 After 20 years of waiting, pain, faith, and love… my womb spoke. My prayers became a child. My tears became joy. My waiting became a testimony. If God did it for me, He can do it for you. Delay is not denial. God is never late. 🥰🤗💞🙏 Credit:Chizoba C.Odogwu|Facebook

Former Senate President Fulfills Promise, Gift First Class Mathematics Graduate Adisa Blessing Oluwafikayo €3,100 Former Senate president, Bukola Saraki has fulfilled his promises to Adisa Blessing Oluwafikayo who graduated with First Class degree in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin, and went further to secure a fully funded Master’s scholarship at the University of Calabria in Italy, however the cost of relocating threatened to stand between her, and she pleaded for help online. The Senate president Bukola Saraki saw her post and decided to support her. Sharing photos of Adisa being provided with €3,100 to cover her relocation expenses by his ABS Foundation, he wrote: "Last week, Adisa Blessing Oluwafikayo shared a story that resonated with many Nigerians.fully funded Master’s scholarship at the University of Calabria in Italy. After graduating with a First Class degree in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin, she secured a fully funded Master’s scholarship at the University of Calabria in Italy. Yet, despite her remarkable achievement, the cost of relocating threatened to stand between her and the opportunity she had worked so hard to earn. When our Founder, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, learned of her situation, he believed that no young Nigerian should lose such an opportunity for want of financial support. Today, the ABS Foundation is honoured to provide €3,100 to cover her relocation expenses, ensuring that her journey can begin. Blessing was joined by her parents and siblings, who shared in this special moment. We believe that when excellence is recognised and supported, its impact extends far beyond one individual. Nigeria’s future will always depend on investing in young people whose hard work and discipline have already distinguished them. We congratulate Blessing on this important milestone and wish her every success as she embarks on this next chapter. We have every confidence that she will excel and that the knowledge, experience and perspective she gains will one day contribute to the continued progress of our country. Congratulations, Blessing. Go and make Nigeria proud." Credit: Bukola Saraki
