Content creator Alvin of Lagos has spoken out over what he described as nonstop extortion from touts in Lagos. According to him, he was forced to pay ₦100,000 before he could park into his new home in Ajah, and another ₦100,000 on a second occasion while moving his belongings. He claims similar incidents have happened four different times whenever he brings loads into the estate.

Twitter people are always looking to humble you. Apart from Davido, the people that donated N500k upward, I have a relationship with them. Somebody dropped N4m. 2 people dropped N3m, someone dropped N2m. Some dropped N1m. Some dropped N500k. They donated because of me. I had to keep the identity of big donors hidden because they didn't want billing. These things are done on trust. This happens with every donation because they trust me. There are some I have to inform when I'm raising fund because they are happy to donate when I call for donation. None of these people have called me a thief because they saw how the money was spent and how I always handle public money.
