Another unseen in PWHL salary disclosure. Marie-Philip Poulin made $121,570 last season but took an $11,354 pay cut this year. Desbiens took a $4,972 pay cut this year, and Stacey took an $11,974 cut. They did it so Montreal could sign better players to win a Walter Cup.

Looking at this year’s PWHL Rookie of the Year nominees reminded me that Stace was the CWHL Rookie of the Year in 2016–17 season. Then I looked it up and realized Pou was the MVP that same season 🥹
