Why do you have your trousers above your waist ehn? Same way many SaaS founders put everything on their landing page… except the thing that actually makes people buy. I designed a SaaS landing page recently, and it reminded me of something simple that’s often misunderstood. A landing page is not your web app homepage. Your web app homepage is for users who already signed up. It helps them navigate, manage tasks, explore features. Your landing page? That one has a job. To sell. To convince. To move someone from “I’m just checking” to “I need this.” But what do most people do? They overload it with features. They explain everything. They design for themselves instead of the user’s decision moment. And then wonder why conversions are low. When I approached this design, I stripped it down to intent. Clear value upfront. A direction that guides the eye without confusion. Sections that answer questions before they are even asked. And a flow that builds trust before asking for action. Because a good landing page doesn’t just look nice… It removes doubt. It makes the decision feel easy. It quietly says, “this is for you.” If your landing page feels like your dashboard, you’re not selling, you’re just decorating. And users don’t pay for decoration. They pay for clarity. #UIUXDesign #SaaS #LandingPageDesign #ProductDesign #ConversionDesign #UXWriting #StartupDesign #DesignThinking #BuildInPublic

Let me tell you a little about myself. I did not start in tech. My background is in Microbiology. Yes, science. No code, no dashboards, no SQL. Just petri dishes and lab reports. But at some point I realized I wanted MORE. I wanted a career that gave me flexibility, income, and impact. So I made a decision to pivot into data analytics and I have never looked back. Today I am a Senior Data Analyst. I consult for businesses. I teach data analytics. I have built a community of over 4,000 people across Africa who are learning, growing, and getting hired in tech. And the one question I get asked more than anything else? “Annie, HOW do I actually land a job in Tech?” So this Friday, I am answering that question FULLY in a live webinar. I am going to walk you through: 1. What skills actually matter to employers right now 2. How to build a portfolio that gets you noticed 3. How to position yourself even if you have zero experience 4. The mistakes that are quietly killing your job search 5. And exactly what to do THIS WEEK to start getting results This webinar is for you if: ✅ You are a beginner who wants to enter into Tech, ✅ You have been learning but cannot seem to land interviews ✅ You are switching careers and feel lost ✅ You are tired of applying and hearing nothing back. Follow this page Comment “READY” below Send your email to my DMs Once I receive your email, I will send you everything you need to join. Do not watch this opportunity pass you by. The people who land jobs are the ones who show up. Be one of them. See you Friday. 🔥

A businessman discovered that 3 of his employees were studying and working simultaneously to pay for their education. He decided to cover all their university expenses and explained that it wasn't a reward for working, but an investment in people who want to grow. He's not building a company, he's building people. 👏

Since I made that post, I kept thinking about how one basic design can just transform into something premium just by the right presentation. Same design o. Same colors, same layout. But put it inside a clean mockup and suddenly everybody is like “wow, this is insane.” (Happened on design twitter few days ago) And I just sat with that thought for a bit because… is that not life? Like sometimes nothing is actually wrong with you. You’re just not presented well yet. Wrong environment, wrong angle, wrong context. You’re carrying something valuable but it hasn’t been framed properly. You haven’t entered your “mockup stage.” (Screaming meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) Because think about it well, even in real life, packaging matters. Not in a fake way, but in a clarity way. The right space, the right exposure, the right alignment can make what has always been there finally make sense to people. Lowkey made me reflect on myself too. Maybe some things are not “not working,” maybe they just haven’t been placed right yet. Maybe growth is not always adding more, sometimes it’s just positioning better.

There’s a difference between showing a design… and making people feel it. For a long time, I would finish a UI and just drop the flat screens. Clean? Yes. Clear? Maybe. Memorable? Not quite. Then I started using mockups. And everything changed. Because mockups don’t just display your work, they give it context. They help people see how your design lives in the real world, how it feels in a hand, on a screen, in motion. Suddenly, your work stops looking like a file and starts looking like a product.

Watching EPC6 right now is 🔥 We’re designing a health appointment booking app, and we just finished mid-fidelity. Same problem. Different user flows. Different thinking. That’s how you know people are actually learning design not copying. Can’t wait to see how they translate this into high-fidelity screens. My screen and a little bit of "no award for sufferings" in the second frame.

One thing about me, you will see my grid. I am stuck with left or centre alignment, not sure which to use. Another thing about me, I will always present to see the structure at each stage.

Designing dashboards is one of those things many designers quietly avoid (I dey the table). Not because it’s hard to design… But because it’s hard to decide. I spent over an hour on this dashboard before anything “fine” showed up on my screen. Not like I was pushing pixels or picking colors, I was just thinking. Because— A dashboard is not about showing data, it is about reducing confusion. Most AI-generated dashboards look good at first glance… But when you ask: “What am I supposed to do with this?” Gbagan Silence. So instead of rushing into visuals, I broke my process into 3 simple steps:

ihadabirthday.my.canva.site When my birthday came around, it was during the most busiest and stressful time in my life this month. So, I celebrated it in real life and let the outside world think I forgot (someone literally asked me a day after if I forgot my birthday 😂). I took very beautiful pictures, I went out on a family date, I got two birthday surprises, and I rekindled my shaky dream on a project, it was a great time I had for the three days I used in celebrating. But what's March without a trace of me celebrating myself, so here's to many beautiful March with me celebrating God's blessings, goodness, joy, upliftment, prosperity, divine intervention, spiritual growth and all the beautiful things I need to stay grounded in Christ. ihadabirthday.my.canva.site
