My friend is insisting I buy her wedding Asoebi which is about 150k or I should not come at all. I bluntly refused and told her I can't pay such amount of money for it. I am also part of her committee of Friends and we are already donating a huge amount of money for her.. I also promised to handle all the bottle and pure water that will be used that day yet she's insisting I join her Asoebi and pay for it. Her wedding is coming up this Easter season and I had donated my own money for the committee of Friends.. So Yesterday after having back and forth with her, I told her I will not come again. I messaged the admin in our group and asked for a refund and this woman told me my friend said she shouldn't refund me. I don't understand, who gave her the right over the money? They usually do that when they’re about to reach their prime, or are in their prime, or are believers that the grass is always greener on the other side. Sometimes they believe that they choose their husband but truly, there’s a tacit agreement somewhere…you always begging her to stay is giving her some sense of power to think that you hold the relationship more dearly than her and then she thinks she’s the one deciding the direction of the relationship. Whenever she acts like she wants to break up, or states it, take her word for it. She should know you’re a man and you’re not there nor have time to play games. At a certain point, we shouldn’t let people play with our minds and peace.

I understand where she’s coming from. Truly and deeply. Not excusing the words that were mentioned by your father, but what he’s said remains true to him. 1st thing you’ll need to do to heal is try putting yourself in his shoes and try understanding it from his point of view as to why he’d say that at the time. Once you’ve done that, evaluate your sentiments regarding that even if you wouldn’t have done or said what he did, it’ll give you perspective to understand him and accept it better. Then you’ll proceed to truly and wholly accept it. And ask yourself, well it’s true you were sick but He made the choice to go back to you guys. That responsibility doesn’t lie on you because nobody in this world begs or wants to be sick. Once you’ve processed that, say it out loud. No matter the time it took, you have to tell him that well papa, these words you’ve told me hurt me to my core (you know your family best so find the best way to express that to them), when your siblings joke about it if it hurts, do not remain silent tell them straight that it’s not a joke to you and they’re crossing you each time they do that. Take harsh decision. Then when you’ve done that accept and realize that you become what you decide to be and what affects you positively and negatively. Cry it out if need be, but do activities that’ll anchor you and make you admire yourself no matter how small it is. These scars that you have, trust me a man (the right one) will love them, embrace them and maybe help you heal them even faster however use your discernment when choosing your partner but take note that the harder part, the ground work has to be done by yourself. True they are the cause of your pain but you have to realize that you have the power to remove these causes and you’ll be the one to face these consequences. Embrace yourself, assume yourself, love yourself. If you were born in this world it is for a reason. And you have a purpose, you lighten people lives in your own way so lean into that. This is sad, sometimes people forget that the work is firstly spiritual. When he told her that he was going to give her pic to deity, she shouldn’t have even went to bed, she should’ve started preparing.
