@bog_gary @FistedFoucault The Provisional IRA did not surrender to the British Army in a traditional military defeat, but it did formally end its armed campaign and decommission its arsenal by 2005. One of my favourite surrenders were the British at Singapore and then when they ran away home at Dunkirk🏳️
