Yes, I’m still thinking about Steph Talbot’s block. Reminded me of Bec Allen’s block in the semi v China at the 2022 World Cup. Allen somehow played with a partially collapsed lung & two fractured ribs in that game & came up with a crucial block in 3Q. Both are absolute warriors.

@wildes_hayley Agree. She is now more athletic than Cayla or Tolo but I’d love to see more Ezi love. Of all her stats this WNBA season her 90% from the line is another indicator of her elite improvement.

Lauren Jackson, at age 43, officially making her 5th Olympic Opals team - 24 years after her 1st & 12 years after her 4th(!) - should be the biggest sporting news story in Australia. As the Opals look to return to the podium, Jackson has medalled in each campaign she’s been in.

@ChrisAnstey13 @WNBL Spot on. As a WNBL Club Member for the last 10 years, the product has all the elements that sports fans love. It has skill, competitiveness and importantly characters on the court but this is rarely mentioned. The product would sell itself.

It’s hard to sell a secret, and the @WNBL is the best kept secret on women’s sport. Season starts next week, time for everyone involved to do a better job of shouting it from the rooftops so fans can give it the support it deserves. Great start here:
