Did you know that one garbage truckload of plastic enters the ocean every single minute? That's why we're seeing more and more headlines like this one. When it comes to tackling plastic pollution, we all have a role to play — so Canada's taking action. cbc.ca/news/technolog…

@cathmckenna What do you suggest in terms of potential solutions or actions being taken for the future to limit/reduce plastic pollution?

Unlike most countries, Canada does not have a national gun registry. All Canadians, rural and urban, suffer from the scourge of gun violence. Here is a link to the Coalition for Gun Control for Canada. guncontrol.ca Their mission is to make Canada safer for everyone.

Take a strive in the right direction for the environment. Recycle properly, carpooling to minimize vehicle emissions, and taking part in clean energy initiatives are a few ways to help sustain our environment.

@em203shai Technology has definitely marked a large impact in the recent years upon learning with the new creations that are made constantly to aid in making the learning process for humans easier. I’ve also learned the the rise in technology can be negative by posing various distractions.

In EM203, the first couple of weeks have shown me how technology impacts us on a daily basis - whether that be positively (by learning through connectivism using our networks) or negatively (by hindering how much we retain in an academic setting while multi-tasking). #EM203

@em203nkhalaf It was very cool to see how technology can both aid and hinder ones ability to learn by both providing learning aids, but also being able to pose as a distraction as well to the mental learning process.

@EM203MartaW Constructivism seems like very interesting and relatable way of learning. I think a lot of people tend to use this method of learning when being placed in a new environment for example. The ability to adapt to the environment is based on personal experience.

So far in EM203, I have learned about several theories of learning. One being constructivism. This theory revolves around the idea that everyone constructs their own understanding of the world based on their experiences #EM203Robin

@EM203asviryova I agree, our learning habits and abilities have drastically changed over the years upon the emergence of various factors such as the theories of learning, but primarily due to the rise of technology use.

@Em203Pattison Great point, I found that these learning about these theories was very insightful when trying to understand what type of learner one is personally. Being able to do so allows for the process of knowledge rentention and analysis to be much simpler.

In the first couple lessons in this course, I have learned alot about the different types of learning theories. These theories include learning by doing, behaviourism, cognitivism, and etc. These learning methods give people the ability to process info differently. #EM203Robin
