Climate change is a global issue that has been on the rise and will soon become irreversible. Temperatures are changing world wide leading to higher sea levels, large spread wildfires, and extinction of different species. We need to act now! #Em203Robin #EM203problem

@MikeHudema @MikeHudema Do you have any other ideas for natural solutions to the climate crisis that can be used in urban settings? I am trying to think of ways that can benefit larger cities with little green space. #ClimateCrisis

@Greenpeace What is the most important change our society can do to slow down the affects of climate change? Do you think that large companies and big polluters will make changes to help our planet we live on?

Our society has learned to take more than we need and produce more waste than ever before. The fashion industry is constantly producing and wasting materials, and this increases pollution all around the world. #fastfashion #pollution #ActNow

This image shows how overconsumption of goods produces extreme amounts of waste and is much bigger than environmental movements. Large companies need to make changes to slow the effects of climate change. #EM203

This website I found explains "fast fashion" and its impacts on the environment. This resource is helpful because it gives tips on how to reduce your carbon footprint as a shopper and consumer. #EM203Research globalnews.ca/news/4774400/f…

@EM203Brittany Great concept map! Breaking down the problems associated with education is so important for current and future students. Class sizes are being increased and I think it would be interesting to see the connection between that and how students with disabilities learn.

@em203sfabbro Hey Sarah! The interactive nature of the course allows for simple learning for individuals of all learning styles! Exposure to different ways of learning is an important strength to be able to learn in the “digital age”

@JacobSmithEM203 Hi Jacob! I also enjoy learning through the group discussions and seeing what other classmates have to say on the same topics! I find it has helped me to have a better/deeper understanding of the topics we have covered so far. Looking forward to the rest of the semester!

After the first few classes in #EM203Robin I have gained an understanding of learning in today's digital age! The group discussions have been very intriguing and am excited to learn about more theories throughout the rest of this course!

@kaitlynmorrish_ Hey Kaitlyn, great post! My group studied learning by doing, so it is interesting to hear more about connectivism. I think this type of learning is interesting because it allows us to connect information from multiple places and helps us learn in this new "digital age".

So far I learnt about the different styles of learning within the digital age.Last week my group further explored the idea of connectivism learning theory. This theory views learning as the process of creating connections to increase the individuals overall knowledge #EM203Robin

@Em203NMcDowell Hey Nathan! I find it is so important for our generation of students to be able to adapt and learn in the "digital age". Technology has made information readily available to us, and once we are able to accurately analyze this information we can use it to increase our learning.

With the technology currently readily available to us at all times in the present, it is important to be able to “learn in a digital age”. Having the ability to perceive and react to information in a critical and analytical way is key to cognitive learning. #EM203Robin

@EM203JJ Hi Jess! I too have realized I need to adjust the way I study based on the learning tasks we have completed in class! I found when reading about different learning theories, learning by doing in particular suits me best. Great post!

@EM203KatieGroen Hi Kaitlin! I agree with the points you mentioned, and I think it is very important to understand that although we have almost unlimited access to information on the internet, we need to be able to analyze this information critically in order to come to an accurate conclusion.

Over the past three weeks I have been able to learn about different theories of learning and how these can be easily incorporated into learning in the "digital age". I enjoy the interactive activities provided weekly as they allow me to experience learning by doing! #EM203Robin
